The Way of the King Pt. 12
Pastor Heath concludes our series in the Gospel of Mark and explains the meaning of Jesus' Olivet Discourse teaching found in Mark ch.13. When it comes to the return of Christ, there's a lot of confusion and, even though it’s a central doctrine in orthodox Christianity, many Christians are embarrassed to talk about it. Listen as Pastor Heath encourages us to look to Christ’s return with clarity and hope. He explains how Mark 13 is mainly about the destruction of the temple (which happened in 70 A.D.) and it serves as guide for how the followers of Christ should live in the already and future kingdom of God.
Randy Evans, our "sending pastor", shared a message on our continual need for the grace of God and challenged us to see that grace in a fresh way.
The Way of the King Pt. 11 (a)
Pastor Heath contunues our series through Mark's Gospel.
Though the call to follow Christ is one of total commitment, it is not a call to live perfectly in the here and now. As sinful people, following the King is not about perfection as much as it is about direction. Peter is a great example of this kingdom living. He was a flawed yet forgiven man; and the direction of his life was kingdom focussed.
